Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to study elementary education. One year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, beating her longtime Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
